BotenUnie is a privately managed online boating project designed to bring boat owners and people looking for their next adventure together. Whether you want a small day boat, a sailing yacht or a comfortable motor cruiser, the aim is to make browsing boats more straightforward and personal.
Our approach
Finding the right boat takes more than an attractive photograph. A good listing should help visitors understand the boat’s intended use, technical specifications, condition, location and asking price. We provide a place where boat owners can describe these details and where interested visitors can compare options before contacting the advertiser.
We welcome both private sellers and professional marine businesses. The platform is designed to make listings readable, with search options for boat types, locations and price ranges. We also maintain an independent directory of boat brands and practical articles for people who want to learn more about boating.
Buying and renting through BotenUnie
A visitor can browse boats for sale or boat rental listings, read the available details and contact the advertiser about a particular boat. The purchase or rental agreement is arranged directly between the people involved. BotenUnie does not automatically confirm bookings or collect a deposit on behalf of an advertiser.
It is important to check details independently. For a purchase, ask about the vessel’s maintenance history, relevant certificates and known defects. For a rental, discuss availability, the allowed sailing area, safety requirements, insurance and cancellation conditions before making commitments.
For boat owners
If you own a boat and want to reach an interested audience, you can create a listing with photographs, a clear description and the most useful specifications. A personal account lets you review your advertisements and incoming enquiries. New or changed listings can be checked before they appear publicly.
Independent information and demo listings
Our boat brand directory introduces different builders and designs, but it is not an official manufacturer catalogue. Brand names belong to their respective owners, and mentioning a brand does not imply endorsement or sponsorship. Some boats visible on the site are clearly marked demonstration listings; they are not actual offers for purchase or rental.
Questions and feedback
We welcome reports about inaccurate listings, incorrect background information, accessibility issues or technical problems. Use the contact form and include a page URL where possible. Read the terms of use and privacy information for further details.
